Arlen is a hard working, passionate routesetter who's been setting for more than 20 years.
A lot has changed in the setting world which keeps the job fresh and fun. In his day job Arlen the chief routesetter for both a bouldergym ánd a leadgym in Arnhem, and really enjoys the contrasts between the two.
He loves setting boulders in a team, but for competitions he prefers setting for lead comps over setting for boulders comps. Arlen can set any style and likes to experiment with movement. He has a natural preference for a technical flowy style of climbing, but he also loves the occasional 'comp style- element'.
